Ingenious Knowledge has been active in vocational education, working in close partnerships with universities and other education institutions. The company is currently involved in various projects such as running career orientation camps for schools and developing new e-learning methods for banks. Ingenious Knowledge has a heavy focus on IT-solutions that innovate learning processes because the company believes that new generations grow up in a different world that requires new approaches to education. In this context the company sees huge opportunities to introduce entrepreneurship in early stages of education employing innovative approaches. In 2011 the company partnered with the University of Cologne to do research on this subject, develop new concepts, test them in action in two events with students, and publish a research paper on the experience.

University of Cologne, Professorship of Economical Education and Curriculum Research, Germany
University of Cologne has the second largest campus in Germany with about 38.000 students, is the single largest provider of teacher education programmes in Europe, and takes pride in being an inclusive institution providing equal chances to all learners, researchers and administrative employees. The Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and is under its motto “Innovation for Society” famous for its strength in research and education of the next generation of business and social leaders. The Professorship of Economical Education and Curriculum Research held by Prof. Dr. Bernadette Dilger focuses its research on the one hand on competence orientation in transnational curriculum development processes and on the other hand on the competence development in innovative teaching and learning arrangements. In its teaching the Professorship is part of the Institute for Vocational, Economical and Social Education, which runs a Bachelor and Master teacher education program in the field of vocational education and training.
Tallinna Majanduskool, Estonia
Tallinna Majanduskool (Tallinn School of Economics [TSE]) is one of the biggest and oldest business colleges in Estonia. It is a public vocational educational institution subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Research. The school was founded in 1906 as a private college to specialize in the education of boys and girls for commercial professions. The School offers programmes at the vocational education level and the applied higher education level. During 2-3,5 years of studies, students acquire practically inclined education and a broad and in-depth knowledge of most important business issues and are trained to solve current problems in business environment at home and abroad. The strengths of the school are long-standing tradition and continuity in the teaching of the specialties, the teaching staff has good qualifications and practical experience; a modern learning environment, ICT plays an important role both in educational processes and in information supplies to students; different forms of study (daytime study, evening study and distance study); labour flexibility within the sector thanks to extensive basic education; long-standing cooperation with employers and professional associations.

Kopavogur Institute of Education (MK) is an upper secondary school with a current student number of around 1400 and a teaching staff of just over 100.The school’s defined role is to provide education leading to the matriculation exam and entry to university, to provide vocational education, particularly in the culinary field, and, in addition, to offer education in the field of tourism, both in its day and evening school courses. All of these educational programmes are offered within the module system. Kópavogur Grammar School prepares students for entry into the job market and further education, develops a sense of responsibility and awareness, trains students in disciplined work habits, teaches them to appreciate things cultural and encourages them towards a constant search for knowledge. In its curriculum the school should set out its policy and aims, outline its organizational structure and regulations, define the various study lines or majors and provide syllabi descriptions for the various modules. Fields of study towards the university entrance certificate are: Biology, Business and Economics, Computer Science, Languages, Physics and Chemistry, Social Sciences, Travel and Tourism. Business Studies and Economics have been taught almost since its opening in 1973.
ASOCIATIA COLTEHTIM, Romania
Coltehtim Association is a non-governmental organization of a group of teachers with different specialties: sciences, communication, technology, and economics. The Association was born in 2007 from the desire to offer pre – university teaching staff in Romania the possibility of collaboration, to develop the relationship between schools (Technical Colleges) and community (economic-social environment) through formal and non-formal education in vocational purpose. The International Business College ibc-: was founded in 1911 and is a higher secondary and tertiary vocational school and college with 1700 students 725 of them in adult education and 150 members in the teaching staff. The ibc-: takes pride in its Internationality with a bilingual programme, where teaching is done in English and German in a team teaching model by both English native teachers and Austrian teachers and students from 59 different nations representing 52 different mother tongues. Entrepreneurship is a basic Educational Principle at the International Business College Vienna and aims at developing the entrepreneurial spirit. It is based on the development of specific attitudes to think and act entrepreneurially and is seen as a task for all subjects and takes all generally accepted values into account. In view of the fact that the students shall change their attitude towards entrepreneurial thinking and acting special importance is laid on the integration of appropriate teaching and learning methods when passing on subject matter. Apart from a general view the selection of subject matter has to include model principles. Already acquired knowledge and entrepreneurial experiences are resumed and used to increase the teaching output. Being exposed to, trying and reflecting different practical examples adds to the development of independent implementation strategies. The practice-oriented co-ordination of targets, contents and methods as didactic principle has to be especially considered in regard to Entrepreneurship Education. Particularly teaching methods like case studies, role plays, project-oriented tasks and projects are used paying special attention to independent work on the one hand and forms of social learning on the other hand as well as to their relevance for the business world.

The group have considerable experience in the design, construction and evaluation (both technical and educational) of online learning environments and multimedia-enhanced-video conferencing. Over the last decade, the group has worked within the field of e Learning and has produced three fully online programmes. These programmes have been an overwhelming success for the University and have produced significant performance improvements compared to delivery using more traditional face-to-face delivery. Recent research has focused on game-based learning and Web2.0 learning environments.
